Relevant Work Experience

Teaching Assistant | Zen Educate | 2023-2025

  • Supported a 4–5-year-old autistic child in Reception with his learning development by playing with him, helping him with his communication skills and assisting him with his self-care.
  • Travelled to 30+ schools across London to cover absent support staff in various responsibilities including classroom sessions, lunchtime breaks, afterschool clubs and supporting SEN children.

Gallery Assistant | Crafts Council | 2022-2023

  • Answered email enquiries from visitors and directed them to the right member of staff.
  • Worked collaboratively with the gallery team in taking care of the gallery.
  • Used Microsoft Excel to enter data on the number of visitors to help with the evaluation of each exhibition hosted at the gallery.

Designer and Maker volunteer | FibreLab | 2021-2022

  • Collaborated with the Founder of FibreLab on making 3 upcycled bags for an exhibition hosted by Project ReGo.

Heritage Assistant Trainee | Brent Museum and Archives | 2018-2019

  • Produced a Podcast with Culture & titled ‘Music and Wembley’ representing Brent Museum and Archives Which helped attract people to the museum’s archives.
  • Planned and delivered family craft workshops for at Brent Libraries. Liaised with Learning Officer to oversee the plans and preparation of the workshop before delivering.
  • Curated my own display case titled ‘Crime in Brent’ and installed it at Kingsbury Library to attract people to the museum.
  • Managed and produced engaging content on the museum’s social media account to attract new visitors. Edited and produced short videos for the social media accounts.

Heritage assistant volunteer | Lauderdale House | 2018

  • Created engaging and well-reviewed and self-led activity packs for schoolteachers to follow and direct their students to learn about Lauderdale house.

Learning Apprentice: Battle Bus Project | London Transport Museum | 2017-2018

  • Coordinated an outreach volunteer project aimed at 18–25-year-olds, called “Printing the Home Front” to provide an opportunity for young people to gain work experience.
  • Worked as a team with the Learning Officer, screen-print artist and young volunteers in delivering a screen print activity at the Battle Bus Launch event engaging over 550 primary school children and families.

Young Crafts Citizen Member | Crafts Council| September 2018- Present

  • Worked as a social media assistant for a month in September 2018 Managed, produced, and scheduled content for young people’s programme’s Twitter account which helped increase 100+ followers by the end of placement leading to built relationships with other youth organisations by re-tweeting their posts.
  • Wrote a blog for Craft’s council on my experience at London Design Festival 2018.
  • Delivered an online embroidery workshop to a group of adults via zoom.
